I held her and she held me. I pulled her tighter and she didn’t pull away.
I put her head to my chest and said “do you hear that?”
She said all she heard was my heart.
I put my head to her chest. “You have it too.”
She said everyone has a heart beat.
I said “yes, but only a few hearts have a sound of destiny.”
She asked "what is my destiny?"
I didn't answer that right away
then I pulled her even closer and whispered
"To be loved forever..."
she faced me, gave a small, shy smile, and held me tight
Her face got closer to mine, and i didn't know what to do.
Then we locked lips, and knew
that it didn't matter anymore
what people thought of us, or said about us
or wrote on the bathroom walls.
There and then, we let it all go.
And it felt so good...
